Irresistible Revolution
I'm finding 'Irresistible Revolution' rather a perplexing read. It's giving me too many feelings all at once. Part of the blurb at the back reads ' In this book Shane Clairborne invites you into a movement of the Spirit that begins in the heart and extends through our hands into a broken world.'
So when I read it I find myself inspired by what he's doing with his faith in action, deeply challenged and motivated to do more for others while also guilty that I'm not doing enough for needy people.
Uuch I guess I just have to trust in prayer and take each day as a new opportunity to meet what God throws up at me as best I can. I shared these views today with my friend Amy (the girl showing Matthew how to play the piano - in the pic below) and she gave me these words from GK Chesterton -
Here dies another day
During which I have had eyes, ears, hands
And the great world round me;
And with tomorrow begins another
Hope you like the other photos of Matthew in his high chair at my mum's, in his snow suit with Cedric and in his bouncer with Neil.
