HAPPY 30th DEE !
After a welcome rest chez John Mellor's in Edinburgh, Matthew and I were in Dundee for the weekend.
On Saturday dad took Matthew to buy the papers (see pic) in his new buggy, we went for a walk, and my folks babysat while I went into town, then later to Dee's 30th birthday party.
Poor John was off work with Sciatica (no idea how to spell that but this is what spell check suggests) but still managed to give us a share of his comfort food -tomato soup and white bread. Get well soon John.
Managed to see Gran and Grandpa Duff in their Charlestone house probably for the last time. Next week, all formalities going well, they are moving to Broughty Ferry to be nearer the ice-cream, seagulls and dodgems (well that's what I'd move there for.) All the best to them and those assisting them in their move.
It was a fab night and I was able to catch up with friends like Cazza, Stabler and Vicky.
On Sunday we headed back home via my Aunty Fiona's and Matthew met his second cousin Callum for the first time and gnawed on a bit of sausage.
All the best to the Toole family and their attic conversion, and thanks for a tasty lunch.
To round the weekend off we arrived back to Selkirk for our afternoon All Age Worship service - where Rosie did a sterling job off acting as Jacob (wrestling with an invisible God) and Bob Brown gave a very moving talk.
