Quilts n' stuff

This weekend we -

Fri
-Went to Hawick for an after school coffee and blether with work colleagues (pic)
-Visited the town's Quilting exhibition (beautiful artwork and lovely cuppa -pic)

Sat
-Went to the Wasps Studio Open Weekend. This art space is in a building down near the river where there are 6 artists in residence. (gorgeous styles of art really makes you itch with the urge to be creative...watch this space!)
-Visited my friend Fi's new house in Selkirk. Looking forward to seeing how she manages to transform the place (expect pictures.)
Sun
-Went to church and saw Karena Grace's Christening, lovely service and particularly enjoyed sitting next to Rod (who played the organ at our wedding and is a piano teacher) as he sings the alto part of all the hymns and it makes a beautiful harmony.

-Met up with Rosalie (Jenni's mum) to discuss forthcoming events and planning for the Council of Churches here in Selkirk. She's the current longstanding, very hardworking secretary and I'm going to be taking over from her next year. Twas good to visit her new house down the road.
-Watched Brokeback Mountain once Matthew was settled and felt very sad that not one character in that film was happy for more than 10 mins. Worth watching though.
Last pic speaks for itself
