Groups

Another week of baby groups, cups of tea, washing, playing, speaking to Cedric for 5 mins, and listening to Matthew cry himself to sleep - though that's improving. It may sound monotonous but it's actually on the whole a real joy.
It's not quite as simple as all that either. Yesterday I went through to Hawick for a blether with work colleagues and then at night Cedric and I took turns at going out to the local pub to see some other school workmates.

I'm loving meeting new mums! It's great hearing about how long they have lived in Selkirk, what brought them here and generally getting to know them and their baby. At breast feeding group it's also wonderful to see the new wee babys that get wheeled in. I was holding a 2 week old called Christian yesterday - so cute, as well as smiling at the antics of a little 2 year old girl
called Freya (who was wearing pink fairy wings) at Tots on Thursdays group.

This weekend Matthew and I are off on the church pilgrimage/ away day to Alnwick, while Cedric plays more tennis. This time it's another finals match at Melrose. In the evening mum and dad should be joining us to look after Matthew while we go to the tennis quiz in Darnick. Expect photos.

Off to some friends from church's house now to broach my idea for a Church Open Day.
Notice I never mentioned the football!!
