Choclolate

A serious blog today.
This morning I helped to lead 2 church services about slavery past and present. As it's nearly the bicentenary of the abolition of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade (March 25th) churches across Britain have been celebrating what Wilberforce and those along side him managed to do, but also raising awareness of the modern day forms of slavery that still exist in our world.
This morning we were mainly talking about human traffiking, how it is increasing around the world and will continue to do so unless we get our governments to take action to prosecute the traffikers and protect the victims. There's a petition you can sign to raise this issue at the website in the logo above.
We're just so darned fortunate to live in our warmly heated, nicely furnished houses, where we're free to come and go as we please - unlike a growing number of men, women and children who're being used by others in the seix industry, child soldier racket, domestic help industry, and manufacture of products industries
