the week gone by
Fri 25th -
Was in Edinburgh for a Columba leadership get together.
The pupils and we - 2 staff enjoyed it a lot, especially the huge drumming workshop in the afternoon
Sat 26th -
At Mhairi's house warming in the evening in Denholm. Lovely house and scrumscious grub

Sun 26th -
Church, lots of marking and christmas card writing
Mon 27th -
No bible study this week so we treated ourselves to a night out in the County restaurant which was 3 courses of joy. We were also celebrating Cedric trading in his wee Renault Clio for a newer Renault Megane (room for a baby seat...)
Tue 28th -
Meeting after school to plan for the school's Christmas assemblies. Will some of our new Polish students tell us all about Christmas customs in Poland?? Tbc
Wed 29th -
Lunch time stall with Amnesty group to get loads of postcards signed by students to call on the UN to send in Peace keepers to Sudan - Darfur. Great response from the kids, but hard to explain the situation to them all.

Thu 30th -
During a first year lesson Rebecca pipes up that she wants to know what the war in the canteen was all about. Eventually realise she's asking about the Amnesty thing and explain to the class the situation in Darfur and what Amnesty would like to see happen. All the kids are saddened and want to sign postcards too.
Taize prayers after school in wee Catholic Chapel and some much needed communal silence
Hurray it's Friday tomorrow
