Scones -yum!
Missed out on the 'May the 4th be with you' gag yesterday, but did manage to make a few kids at school smile with that one when I told them to look out for it.
We've just had a glorious weekend relaxing. Well I say relaxing; Cedric's been in France for Annick's birthday celebrations, I've been in Edinburgh catching up with some Uni friends and Matthew's been running about with Granny Kay and Bampa.
Today Cedric and I had inservice days at school where we learn how to be better teachers and get a chance to catch up with one another in a much more relaxed atmosphere minus the kids.
Recently watched 'Mama Mia' and 'Wall e'. There's nothing like a bit of comfort viewing. Really looking forward to Alexander McCall Smith's latest Scotland Street Novel 'The unbearable lightness of scones' I read the book's namesake by Milan Kundera thanks to Helen who gave it to me as a 22nd birthday present. Have to confess to not enjoying reading the Kundera book as it's pessimistic existentialism is pretty much in conflict with my own views on the nature and meaning behind reality. The 'scones' title, not taking itself too seriously, really made me chuckle:0)
