Lent and the EU

Just had pancakes at Bernard and Christine's house followed by a quiz on the EU. Tasty pancakes, but difficult questions.
Still pondering what to give up or take on for Lent. I've never been very good at giving up things as the guilt which goes along with it seems to defeat the purpose of focusing on a God of love. Almost fixed on doing something a bit different this year and trying to be 'less busy.' Not sure if this is going to work or how I'll manage it: More baths, prayer, time in - listening to music and just being me quietly with Mr Marmot. Tssk, even putting my intentions/ ideas down in the form of a list seems like I've given myslef something to achieve and therefore made me more busy. Am I in a Catch 22 situation or just over thinking as usual?
Anyway, looking on the bright side today I learned wha the national flag of Estonia is.
